2006 EXCAVATION IN MONGOL ALTAI

Since 2004 Mongol-Europeen Joint Archaeological Expedition "EURASIAT" working in Mongolian Altai in the search of Pazyryk period burials. Expedition is co-directed by Prof. P.H.Giscard (International Center Eurasiat, Paris, France) and Ts.Turbat (Institut of Archaeology, Ulan-Bator, Mongolia). With active assistance of Fr. Jordana (Catalon-Spain) and D.Batsukh (the same Insitut). Also our friend and collegues T.Batbayar, N.Bayarkhuu, T.Iderkhangai, D.Erdenebat, B.Omirbek, G.Gantogtokh, M.Erkegul, N.Albek, D.Ganbat.
In 2006 our Expedition followed the research of funeral monuments of Pazyryk period (6-2nd centuries BC) in Mongolian Altai.
The objective of this years excavation was the site BTG-6 (Baga Turgen Gol - Small Rapid River : in mongolian). Here we have accomplished the Excavation of 6 tombes and 2 Sacrificial monuments in that site.
